Situations vacant!
We are urgently seeking Leads for a variety of practical and on-site roles for Microburn 2026.
You will join a friendly team and have the guidance of your Shepherd, so don’t think you need to know everything before you apply.
Event Ops Shepherd: Guide and support the event ops leads (Gate, Rainbows, Welfare, and Consent.) Needs to be familiar with how MB works so they can answer questions, so would suit someone who has previously been a MB Lead. Contact participation@microburn.org to apply.
Sound Lead: Look after amplified sound across site (communal spaces, workshops/events if required). Source and arrange transport for any coomunal systems.
Lighting and Power Lead: Set up power and lighting on site. Ensure any power issues during the event are resolved. Then make sure it is all taken down again.
Leave No Trace Lead: Ensure all participants are aware of LNT. Liaiase with all leads to confirm LNT for their areas. Coordinate the LNT rota.
Health and Safety Lead: Ensure health and saftey of participants during build, event, and strike. Conduct risk assessments. Be familiar with event management and operating plan, emergency services plan, and fire safety plan and share with other leads.
Fire Safety Lead: Fire safety for the effigy and temple burns. Hire extinguishers, recruit marshals for burns.
For all roles except Event Ops Shepherd, for more info and to apply, email siteandtechshepherd@microburn.
